Trauma-Informed & Youth-Guided Services Training
Part one of this day-long training instructs on the causes and effects of trauma, and the value of service systems that accommodate the vulnerabilities of trauma survivors. Participants will gain basic skills and understanding of trauma-informed interactions, assessment and service delivery for stronger, healthier, more effective provider-consumer relationships.
In part two, they will learn the differences between youth-guided, youth-directed and youth-driven service delivery, as well as how young people succeed in treatment when they are empowered by being listened to, their input considered and integrated into their plan.
