Youth MOVE Maine
Youth MOVE Maine (YMM) - Youth Motivating Others through Voices of Experience, Maine’s chapter of Youth MOVE National - is a community-based youth and young adult advocacy program in five regional locations uniting the voices of young people with lived experiences in mental health, child welfare, juvenile justice and educational systems.
Members embrace differences and uniqueness in facilitated, peer-focused groups and activities that support life and leadership skills, and positive change in themselves, their communities and the systems that serve them. Activities include sharing stories of resiliency that can help shift the way others view emotional health issues and systems involvement for youth in Maine.
